What is a cine file?
CINE files, which are raw and uncompressed, store image data from Vision Research’s Phantom high-speed video cameras. They store image pixel data, acquisition parameters, range time, image time, and analog signals, but are small and quick to save. CINE files include a CINE file header, bitmap info header, and setup portion. They can be read by Phantom Cine Viewer 675 or IRIDAS software. The Phantom Video player is also used to play and save CINE files onto a hard drive. Phantom software is only supported by Windows operating systems. However, customers have had success running the software through Apple’s Boot Camp or Parallels programs. These files are similar to other video formats like AVI and MPG
